After several months of COVID-19 hibernation, Australia’s travel industry is showing small signs of reawakening. The Coronavirus restrictions are gradually easing. A slow rejuvenation of domestic travel between states is a welcome first step towards recovery. There is also talk of a trans-Tasman bubble that would see quarantine-free travel allowed between Australia and New Zealand to boost both economies.
While it’s a glimmer of hope for us in the travel industry, we know there is still a long road ahead.
